Push Dose Pressors - Mixing Instructions - Epinephrine and Phenylephrine



Epinephrine Preparation steps:

1. Add 9 mL of NS to 10 mL syringe

2. Add 1 mL of epinephrine 0.1 mg/mL (cardiac arrest EPI) to the same 10 mL syringe

3. Label syringe



Phenylephrine Preparation steps:

1. Use syringe to remove 1 mL from phenylephrine 10 mg/mL vial

2. Add this 1 mL of phenylephrine to 100 mL NS bag

3. Remove 10 mL from this NS bag containing phenylephrine by using the 10 mL syringe

4. Label syringe
