Hicuity Health (new name for Advanced ICU Care), the leading high acuity telemedicine provider in the United States, is seeking a highly motivated and experienced physician to join our team as a Chief Medical Officer.  The CMO’s principal responsibility is leading the clinical quality, clinical vision and overall clinical direction of the organization. This must be carried out in a collaborative and unifying fashion with consideration given to our multiple clients, operations centers, and our internal clinical and business goals and objectives. As a second area of principal responsibility, the CMO will be involved in priority growth oriented (new business) and industry meetings.

Responsibilities
  • Leads the development and implementation of innovative clinical programs; process must include collaboration with strategic partners, both inside & outside the company
  • Contribute insight and intelligence regarding emerging models in health care delivery, as well as CMS/Leapfrog/Medicare and other state and/or federal legislative and regulatory programs that may impact our offering or our clients
  • Implement a shared and unrelenting focus on clinical quality improvement, clinical efficiency, clinical effectiveness and clinical accountability
  • Works in collaboration with VP of Client Services and Sales teams for those accounts and prospects assigned specifically to the CMO regarding ongoing client service initiatives.
  • Recommend enhanced reporting initiatives
  • Works clinically in company’s tele-operations centers such that credibility and leadership is established with clinical teams and sufficient knowledge of clinical operations is developed and sustained such that clinical innovation, effectiveness, and efficiency programs can be knowledgeably developed and implemented.
  • Ensure consistency of workflow/clinical approach by Intensivists across all operation centers
  • Develop and implement MD evaluation process in concert with VPMA
  • Play a primary role in the interviewing and selection of new physicians
  • Fosters a culture of best clinical, workflow and business practices, metrics-based analysis, continuous improvement, accountability, customer and peer service-orientation
  • “Go to” clinical resource for major new business/business development opportunities
  • Travel as needed.
Qualifications
  • Graduate from an accredited School of Medicine
  • Current Board Certification by the American Board of Internal Medicine, Anesthesia, Surgery or the American Osteopathic Board of Internal Medicine, Anesthesia or Surgery
  • Prior clinical practice leadership experience
  • Prior inpatient care experience
  • Experience in leading Clinical Performance Improvement Programs
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills; results and decisive orientation; demonstrated interpersonal and leadership skills; demonstrated willingness and ability to integrate clinical and business objectives; unifying and winning personality
  • Current knowledge of best practices and external regulatory body requirements related to critical care medicine as well as relevant guidelines and requirements for organization’s other business lines
  • Technology savvy
