Hypomagnesemia and Electrolyte Disorders

 • Hypocalcemia - lowers PTH ( functional hypoparathyroidism), bone resistence to PTH, impairs P TH response to calcium release from bones

 • Hypophosphatemia - via tissue phosphate deficiency

 • Hypokalemia - Low intraceullar Mg leads to ROMK to release K out of the cells
