Tumor lysis syndrome (TLS) - Pathophysiology:

→ Massive tumor cell lysis

→ Release of large amounts of K+, phosphate, and uric acid

→ Usually after initiating cytotoxic therapy of ALL, AML, NHL

→ AKI can result from deposition of uric acid and /or calcium phosphate crystals
