Causes of Female and Male Infertility - Differential Diagnosis Algorithm

Causes of Female Infertility:

 • Uterus - HSG or SHG or hysteroscopy

 • Fallopian Tube - HSG or SHG or laparoscopy

 • Normal FSH

 • Increased FSH

 • Decreased FSH - Hypothalamic

 • Decreased FSH - Hypopituitarism

Causes of Male Infertility:

 • Sperm Transport

 • Sexual Dysfunction

 • Sperm Motility - Abnormal semen analysis

 • Pre-Testicular (Hypogonadotrophic hypogonadism) Low FSH/LH

 • Testicular - (Sperm production problem) High FSH/LH
