Possible Ventilator Allocation Protocol



BLUE (Exclusion criterion or SOFA > 11)

 - No Ventilator Provided

 - Use alternative forms of medical intervention and/or palliative care or discharge

RED (SOFA < 7 or Single organ failure)

 - Highest Priority

 - Use ventilators as available

YELLOW (SOFA 8-11)

 - Intermediate Priority

 - Use ventilators as available

GREEN (No significant organ failure, Does not require lifesaving resources)

 - Use alternative forms of medical intervention, defer or discharge. Reassess as needed.
