Colorized POCUS of a plethoric IVC in cardiac tamponade



To correctly identify the IVC you must visualize the following:

(1) The hepatic vein [red] must come off the distal IVC [blue]

(2) The IVC [blue] must be contiguous with the right atrium [orange]
