Xa Inhibitors - Apixaban and Rivaroxaban 

Oral Xa inhibitors are recommended by CHEST as first-line for most patients with VTE treatment or Atrial Fibrillation requiring anticoagulation. Although there are 4 drugs in this class, betrixaban is not approved for these indications and edoxaban is not used as commonly due to limited use in patients with normal renal function.
