Arrhythmogenic Right Ventricular Dysplasia (ARVD)



• A small positive deflection buried in the terminal QRS complex (Epsilon wave) 

• Autosomal dominant inheritance 

• Fibrofatty replacement of right ventricle myocardium 

• Ventricular dysrhythmias originating from the right ventricle 

• Syncope or Sudden death that are often exercise related 

• Dx: Cardiac MRI 

• Rx: Implantable cardiac defibrillator
