BE-FAST Mnemonic for Stroke Recognition Signs



B - Balance: Loss of balance or coordination.

E - Eyes: Double, blurry or loss of vision.

F - Face: Drooping or numbness of one side. Ask to smile.

A - Arm: Weakness or numbness of the arms or legs on one side. Ask to raise both arms.

S - Speech: Slurred speech or difficult to understand. Ask to repeat a simple phrase.

T - Time:  Call 911 immediately if any of these symptoms are present.
