Persistent Pupillary Membrane (PPM) on Slit Lamp Ocular Examination



This membrane would be a remainder of the tunica vasculosa lentis, which generally disappears completely by the fifth week of gestation, from 4 to 8 weeks. These are rarely large enough to cause low vision or symptoms.
