Elbow Valgus Stress Test for Medial (Ulnar) Collateral Ligament Stability



While palpating the medial joint line of the elbow, the examiner applies a valgus stress to the elbow at various degrees of elbow flexion and extension.  The test if positive if there is pain or excessive laxity compared to the other side.
