String Test in Wernicke-Korsakoff Syndrome (WKS)



A positive string test in a confabulating patient with Wernicke's-Korsakoff syndrome.

These patients are susceptible to suggestion and produce fabrications without the desire to mislead.

He went on to describe the string as purple in color.
