Lung Hernia (Sibson Hernia) on physical exam due to a traumatic chest injury.



Sibson Hernia is a protrusion of lung outside of thoracic wall.  In 20% patients with lung hernia, the cause is congenital. In 80% of the cases, the hernia is noted after chest trauma, thoracic surgery or certain pulmonary diseases.
