Ureterovesical Junction Stone on Bladder Ultrasound (Transverse View)



This is a transverse plane through the bladder. Bones, stones, air, & foreign bodies are usually hyperechoic on US.  There is a large L ureteral stone obstructing the ureterovesicular junction. Ureteral stones are often associated with ipsilateral hydronephrosis.
