Calcifications Around the Heart on Chest XRay
Case #1: This appearance is typical of pericardial calcification & is associated w/ constrictive pericarditis.
Case #2: The "tubular" calcifications are coronary atherosclerotic calcifications in the LAD. The proximal LAD is stented: note the more mesh-like appearance of the metallic struts.
Case #3: This is calcified myocardium from an old myocardial infarction.
