Myocysticercosis on Leg X-Ray

Cysticercus larva in the muscles appear like rice grain calcifications.

Consumption of contaminated food with eggs lead leads to hatching of the oncosphere larva in the GIT which penetrate the intestinal wall. They can settle into the muscles and develop into cysticercus larva!
