Premature atrial complex (PAC) - ECG Recognition

 • Prematurity and altered P wave morphology.

 • P wave will look like the sinus P wave if its origin is close to the SAN.

 • P wave will have low amplitude or inverted in II, Ill and aVF if it is originating the low atrium.

 • A PAC will have a PR interval of > 0.12 seconds compared to premature junctional complex (PJC) which will be 0.12 seconds or less.
